Join us during Oregon's Trade World Week as we help build the next generation of international business leaders. The event recognizes private sector companies that have made a significant contribution to Oregon's standing as a leader in international trade and investment and their ability to create family wage jobs. You are invited to nominate a company or submit an application for your own company for these awards. A designated steering committee will choose the winner for each category and the winners will be announced at a special semi-formal dinner program.

2016 - The Year of Trade in Oregon continues!

“International trade generates nearly half a million jobs in Oregon and is a major economic growth engine for the state.”

That point is among many to be made throughout 2016 by the Pacific Northwest International Trade Association (PNITA), a program of the Portland Business Alliance, and by the Port of Portland. Together the Alliance and the Port are launching “Year of Trade in Oregon” as a way to raise awareness for Oregon’s strength in global markets and for the state’s economic dependence on trade.

Other organizations supporting this effort include: Greater Portland Inc., Business Oregon, Oregon Consular Corps, Oregon Department of Agriculture, CMS Consulting Services, the Portland Development Commission and the U.S. Department of Commerce.

For more information on trade in Oregon and to see all upcoming trade-related events in the Portland area, please visit the 2016 Year of Trade website at www.tradeinoregon.com. Join the conversation on Twitter at #tradeinOR.

Please contact Jennifer Woods to have your local trade-related events posted here: Jennifer.Woods@trade.gov.
